HISTORY
The Child Development Program started accepting students in the 2008-2009 academic year and since then it has been continuing its educational activities aimed at training qualified professionals in the field of child development. In our program, 1 faculty member and 4 lecturers are working and we offer a large and expert staff to our students with our colleagues who participate in our educational activities with their expertise in different fields.
The program is an associate degree (short teaching) program with a professional and practical nature. Its aim is to train qualified child development professionals who can support the development of children between the ages of 0–18 in a multifaceted way, make developmental evaluation and guide families and institutions. The program aims to enable students to gain theoretical knowledge, practical skills and ethical sensitivity in the field of child development and to take an active role in efforts to improve the welfare of children, families, educators and society.
The main goal of the Child Development program is to train qualified individuals with the knowledge, skills and attitudes that can support the development of children between the ages of 0–18 in a multifaceted way. The program aims to enable students to gain competence in recognizing, evaluating and supporting children's cognitive, language, motor, social and emotional development. In addition, it aims to train professionals who can guide families, educators and institutions; sensitive to ethical values, think scientifically and contribute to the welfare of children and families of the society.
